•» How do I become an IERE Express Member?
It's easy! Please click here to use our simple online registration.
Additionally, you can:
  • Register over the phone (in Trinidad) by calling our office
    at 1 (868) 652-IERE (4373).
  • Or, call our Trinidad office to make an appointment and one of our friendly agents will come to your home or office to assist you with completing your registration.
  • Or, become a Member by completing the registration form on our brochure and mailing it or dropping it in to one of our local IERE Express offices.
•» What forms of payment do you accept?
IERE Express accepts PayPal online, all major Visa and MasterCard credit cards, Company cheque and Linx Debit bank cards online and at our IERE Express offices in Trinidad. We accept cash (USD$ or TTD$) as well, but ONLY at our Trinidad offices.
•» What are your business hours in Miami and in Trinidad?
  • IERE Express Miami: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST
    (excluding U.S. public holidays).
  • IERE Express Trinidad: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    (excluding T&T public holidays).
  • Extended hours during the month of December for the holiday season.
•» Why do I need to use a courier company like IERE Express when I can just have the online store send my purchase directly to me in Trinidad?
Courier companies ensure that when items are shipped from the US to T & T:
  • Members can save money by having their items repackaged into a smaller box to save on shipping charges
  • We check your original delivery to ensure secure packaging: packages shipped directly from the US to TT may be damaged somewhere along the package processing and shipping chain.
•» Some US online shops now offer shipping to Trinidad. Is it cheaper to shop online and ship directly to me without using an International Courier company?
We suggest that you work out the cost of shipping, handling, TT customs & excise duties, as well as delivery fees as a whole, before you order and request direct shipping from the online shop to Trinidad. Although, it may be more convenient to shop and ship directly online, customers have reported to us that shipping co$ts may be higher than using a courier account. Also, some have paid additional fees that they never anticipated upon delivery.
•» What can I ship through IERE Express?
A variety of items can be shipped through IERE Express, including (but not limited to):

•» What is prohibited from being shipped with IERE Express?

•» What are examples of items that are considered fragile and will require the purchase of additional shipping insurance?

We would recommend the purchase of additional shipping insurance for fragile items, including but not limited to items such as:

  • televisions
  • computers and computer accessories
  • electronics
  • cell phones
  • laptops, tablets and computer games glass
    and other breakable items
•» I'm too busy to shop — do you have a personal shopper service that can help me?
Yes, we would be happy to help! IERE Express offers Your Own Personal Shopping Concierge Service to assist you with finding and purchasing items online or in person. We will make purchases online or pick up in person on your behalf. We charge a 10% service fee (payable in advance) on the cost of the items purchased online and a 10% service fee plus a 5% fuel surcharge (both payable in advance) on the cost of items purchased in person (in person shopping is limited to the Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida). We will make purchases online or pick up in person on your behalf. There is a 10% service charge (payable in advance) on the cost of the items purchased. We accept major credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), PayPal online, Company cheque or Linx debit cards. Please contact us for more information.
•» I don't know how to shop online! Can you help me?
Yes, we are here to help you! IERE Express' Personal Shopping Concierge Service can assist you with sourcing and making online purchases. •» I don't have a credit card — how can I shop online?
As part of our Personal Shopping Concierge Service, you can contact our Trinidad office and we will be pleased to purchase your items on your behalf using our IERE Express credit card. We charge a 10% service fee (payable in advance) on the cost of the items purchased online and a 10% service fee plus a 5% fuel surcharge (both payable in advance) on the cost of items purchased in person (in person shopping is limited to the Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida).
•» What is the size limit of packages/items that I can ship?
IERE Express does not limit the weight or size of an item to be shipped. Basically, if it can fit on a plane and if it is legal, then, it can be shipped. Please call us for assistance with oversized, unusually large or heavy cargo to discuss individual requirements regarding repackaging and special shipping permit requirements.
•» Can my small package(s) be shipped in a small box to save on shipping charges?
Yes, IERE Express can save you on freight charges by repackaging your items in a smaller box or padded envelope. If, we can save our Members on the co$t of five (5) or more pounds of freight per package, we will do so at our discretion. This service is optional to our Members and provided for a minimal repackaging fee (see our Rates/Fees page). Members will be charged for this service upon delivery of their packages in Trinidad.
•» I bought a lot of stuff online! Can you ship several of my packages together in one box?
No, IERE Express cannot combine your separate packages into one large box because your items will probably arrive at our Miami warehouse at different times. We ship your packages from our Miami warehouse at the next available shipping time, so they can arrive promptly.
•» I visited Miami, Florida and did a lot of shopping. Can you help me avoid excess airline baggage fees for my purchases?

Yes! Don't pay those extra baggage fees... Drop your purchases off at our IERE Express Miami, Florida office location and we will ship them to T&T for you! Also, as an IERE Express Member, you can drop off packages at our IERE Express Miami warehouse for shipping directly to you in T&T. In addition, you can authorize a relative or acquaintance to drop off packages at our IERE Express Miami warehouse on your behalf for shipping directly to you in T&T.
Note: The person delivering the package must certify that the shipping information (declared value of items) for the package is accurate. IERE Express will not be responsible for errors such as an incorrect declaration of goods or incorrect addressing.
Note: If you authorize a relative or acquaintance to drop off packages at our IERE Express Miami warehouse on your behalf, you must give us a minimum of two (2) days prior notice to avoid delays in package service delivery to you in Trinidad.

•» Will you sign for my package when it arrives at your IERE Express Miami warehouse?
Yes, an IERE Express agent in Miami will be available to sign for incoming packages upon their receipt, during our regular business hours.
Note: Our IERE Express Miami, Florida office will not accept opened or damaged packages from major US carriers for shipping to T&T. In this case, we will notify you if your package arrives in this condition to discuss further action.
•» Will you accept my package if I order something C.O.D?
No, at this time, our IERE Express Miami agents are not authorized to accept C.O.D. shipments on your behalf, upon delivery to our Miami warehouse.
•» How do I estimate the cost of shipping my package with IERE Express?

•» Can I track my packages throughout the shipping process?

Yes, you can click here to track your packages from our IERE Express Miami warehouse to delivery in Trinidad. Additionally, we will send you email updates throughout the various stages in the shipping process, so you can monitor your package's shipping process:

  • When your package arrives at our Miami warehouse (the email alert may also inform you if you need to provide an Evidence of Value (EOV) for your item)
  • When your package has been shipped to Trinidad
  • When your package arrives in Trinidad and is scheduled for delivery/pick up in person
•» How soon will my package be delivered to me?
If you choose to use our IERE Express delivery services, your packages will be delivered to you within three (3) business days after their arrival at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad.

You can also choose to pick up your package at one of our local TT IERE Express offices within two weeks after your first notification. There is no delivery service on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. IERE Express is not responsible for delivery delays, as a result of unforeseen circumstances, which may include, but are not limited to acts of nature, etc.
•» Can I collect my packages at the IERE Express office?
Yes! If you prefer, you are welcome to pick up your packages at one of our IERE Express Trinidad locations within two weeks after your first notification. There is no delivery service on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. IERE Express is not responsible for delivery delays, as a result of unforeseen circumstances, which may include, but are not limited to acts of nature, etc.
•» I don't have an invoice for my items, but that's not a big deal, right?

An original invoice must accompany ALL packages we receive at our IERE Express Miami office in order to be included with ALL packages being shipped to T & T for compliance with the new Trinidad and Tobago Customs and Excise mandates (effective March 31st, 2012). Proper invoicing will allow packages to be cleared quickly through TT Customs, while improper paperwork could result in a delay to package delivery to you in T&T. Also, in the unlikely event that you may need to file an insurance claim for a lost or damaged package, you will need to provide us with the original invoice listing the declared value of the items that were insured and shipped to T&T.

  • An invoice creation/processing fee will be charged to the Member if no original invoice is included in a Member's package when it is received by our Miami, Florida warehouse for shipment to Trinidad (see our Rates/Fees page).
  • Note: If you choose to have packages dropped off in person to our IERE Express Miami office, the authorized person dropping off your package must certify that the shipping documentation (declared value of items) is accurate. IERE Express will not be responsible for errors such as, incorrect addresses or inaccurate shipping documentation (declared value of items) for any packages.
•» My package was lost/damaged in transit and I need to file an insurance claim.

•» What will be included on my IERE Express invoice when I receive my package(s)?
Your IERE Express invoice will consist of your freight charges, any applicable TT Customs duties and/or VAT, our handling fee and any appropriate TT processing fee per package. These fees are subject to change with proper notification to our members.
•» Can I get personal mail or magazine delivery through IERE Express?

Yes! With IERE Express, you get your own personal U. S. shipping address for receiving personal mail and subscriptions to magazines.
Member Benefit — Receive 1 pound of personal mail, per week, for FREE!
IERE Express will collect your magazines and personal mail at our Miami, Florida location. We will ship this mail to you in Trinidad once per week: you will be charged for the total mail weight less 1 pound (example: If, a member accumulates 4 pounds of personal mail and magazines . . . then, Member will be charged for 3 pounds of weight).

•» I ordered something but I am going to be away when it arrives! Will IERE Express store my package until I get home?
Yes, IERE Express will store packages on your behalf, and at your request, for a period of up to fourteen (14) days. Any package that remains unclaimed beyond fourteen (14) days will be charged a storage fee. Please visit our Rates/Fees page for more information. Note: After thirty (30) days from receipt, any unclaimed packages will be discarded.
